The Dreams Matter Mentorship Project!
Empowering Youth through Dreams Matter Programs
I’m thrilled to share how the Dreams Matter program, founded by Nicholas Palmentera from Ohio, USA, has made a significant impact in Ghana through the NPAYA Foundation. It all began when a friend from Kenya shared Nicholas’ Facebook link with me in August 2024. I was intrigued by the program’s focus on providing mental tools to help young people achieve their dreams through gratitude, affirmations, meditation, and visualization.
After reaching out to Nicholas, I was inspired to volunteer for the program and adapt it for underprivileged youth in Ghana. With his support and provision of necessary materials, I formed a group of young people under 18 years old in Accra. We meet regularly for mentorship and leadership lessons, and the program has been life-changing for the group members.
Some Highlights:
– We’ve reached over 1,000 youth in Accra, Koforidua, and Agona Swedru.
– Our group has enjoyed exciting excursions, including visits to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park & Museum and the Ghana National Museum.
– Our mentorship program covers influential Ghanaian figures, promoting leadership and cultural awareness.

– Date: First Sunday of every month
– Venue: Mallam-Kokroko, Accra, Ghana
– Time: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
I’m proud to say that the Dreams Matter program has been adopted by the NPAYA Foundation, our nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth to empower others in their communities. Together, we’re making a difference in the lives of young people in Ghana.
